About Us
Gravy For The Brain Ltd offers an ever-expanding range of online courses, face-to-face and online events, and valuable resources – all designed solely to benefit the voiceover community and raise the standard of the voiceover industry.
The company was created in September 2013 by Hugh Edwards and Peter Dickson, following a highly successful 18 months of trading under the name High Score Training. Having both worked extensively on each side of the voiceover industry – Peter as the UK’s best-known voice-over artist and Hugh as a prolific voice-director and casting-director – Hugh and Peter joined forces to pass on their combined wisdom and experience to the voiceover community, which they recognised as being hungry for training and guidance.

That’s why we work only with the best companies, actors, directors and teachers we can find, with no exceptions.
We’ve had such fantastic feedback from our clients and it’s very inspiring! Gravy For The Brain was the most natural thing for Peter and I to do having had such success.
We just want to make it better and better!”

Harry Davies
Tech Saviour & Course Wizard
Harry manages the Gravy For The Brain technical support department and is involved in course creation. When we let him out of the GFTB office he's the lead singer for aternative metal band, I Cried Wolf.
Harry is one of the youngest in of our team but his skills and experience certainly aren't limited by his years.
Originally trained in media and web design, Harry brought his key visual and technical design ideas to the GFTB table. If you have a technical support problem or need advice on video games or metal music, Harry is your man!
By night he runs around stages, climbing on amps and screaming till his lungs nearly explode in his metal band 'I Cried Wolf'. Harry’s band is signed to Crooked Noise Records and they're climbing the underground-metal ladder fast! You can find out more about the band and Harry's exploits on their Facebook page if you want!
Gary Fox
VO Business Mentor & Marketing/PR Chief
Gary is our business and marketing guru. He mentors our VOs about the business and marketing side of being a voiceover. His hobbies include going to the gym and finding interesting blogs to tell us all about!
Gary has worked in sales and marketing for over 25 years. He holds an Executive MBA from Warwick Business School and is a lecturer at Oxford Brookes University. For Gravy For The Brain, Gary creates content, provides training and writes blogs about business and marketing for voiceovers. He mentors our VO members about how to manage their voiceover careers as a business and market themselves to get the kind of jobs they want. He translates his extensive and impressive experience working with big international brands like Nike, Xbox and Gilette into practical ways for voiceovers to take control of their careers.
Gary is also a bit of a fitness geek - always going to the gym after work. He always eats salad for lunch except on Thursdays which are his ’treat days’ but he’s surprisingly easy to persuade over to the dark side on office pizza days!
Mary Snee
Course Production
Mary manages the course creation division and gets involved in our events creation and management. She has a degree in Medical Microbiology and Virology, so when the zombie apocalypse happens, you know who to call
Mary has had a varied career so far, combining education and visual design. She does lots of our photography and graphic design work, she produces and designs training courses and on top of all that she’s in charge our voiceover training and social events!
It seems that almost every day when asked "what are you up to this evening?", Mary has a training session or league match for one of the netball teams she plays for. We assume she’s pretty good because she never misses when she throws rubbish into the office bin. Apparently she’s a goal attack if that means anything to you. It sounds impressive to us anyway!

Harvey is our marketing coordinator here at One Voice, responsible for flexing his copywriting, PR and journalistic wand! Harvey keeps you all up-to-date!
Harvey has already beaten the odds by managing to get work after taking an English Literature degree at University, but isn’t going to rest on his laurels from there. When he’s not marketing, Harvey loves to write sitcoms and feature films, while getting out there and directing the odd short film when he can talk anyone into helping out.
While creating his own masterpieces, Harvey also loves to watch terrible films and prides himself on being able to sit through things which would make anyone turn off and do something better with their time.
